ARCHETYPE
Our Beverage Tasting Room + Brewhouse on Beacham’s Curve
Welcome to Beacham’s Curve — Asheville’s Symbiotic Gathering Spot
At Beacham’s Curve, every business shares a central courtyard, creating a true food-and-beverage utopia. Grab your favorite beverage and sit at Archetype, order lunch or dinner from one of our courtyard neighbors, and voilà — an instant dine-in experience with a variety to please everyone in your crew… even the dog!
This locally loved ‘carb corner’ is the natural “bridge” between West Asheville Proper, East West Asheville, and Downtown, as Beacham’s curve turns down along “Sugar Hill” featuring donuts, cider, ice cream, cakes and more, and lands at the French Broad River, the River Arts District, and New Belgium Brewing. Proceed up “Chicken Hill” to get downtown in a few minutes! So, Archetype really is located conveniently in a thoroughfare of yummy goodness.
Beacham’s Curve is named anfter Edward Beacham, a celebrated electric railway conductor who famously rang his bell each time he rounded the bend. Today, it’s still a vibrant, close-knit neighborhood hub — and yes, there’s even a song about it by Asheville’s own Queen Bee and the Honey Lovers.
Our modern, cozy, open-format taproom is built for gathering — whether it’s a casual beverage with friends, a family outing, or a rooftop hangout with a view. Choose from plenty of seating inside, out on the patio, or up on our rooftop deck. Sip a beer fresh from the source while catching a glimpse of our 10-barrel brewhouse in action, and stock up on bottles, cans, or growlers to-go. Not in the mood for beer? We’ve got you covered with house-made hard seltzer, and (mostly) locally produced non-alcoholic options like sodas, hop water, and kombucha, plus gluten-free beers, ciders, a curated wine list, and even Archetype-themed cocktails.
Dogs: We love your four-legged friends! Just keep them leashed and close by. Follow @barketypeavl to meet our favorite brewery pups.
Kids: As a family-owned business, we want everyone to feel welcome. We simply ask that little ones stay close to their grown-ups. To help, we’ve got board games, coloring sheets, a Nintendo corner, and plenty of snacks and fun drinks to keep them happy.
